- 1937 MG VA DHC 0864S (Orig Reg DLJ 917)
- I am a 1937 MG VA Drop Head Coupe, engine number TPBG 1143 chassis number 0864S (the "S" means a body was built by Salmon and Sons). I left the MG factory on 4th October 1937 and went to Salmon and Sons (Tickford) who built a Drop Head Coupe body to cover my naked frame! This has the body number #3157. I then went to Knott Bros in Bournemouth where I was sold to my first owner, Mr Burnand, on 10 November 1937 (37 days later). I have a spare engine #2684 from a VA Tourer plus another seized one #1254 from a VA Saloon.
